About Me
If you can't find me, I am probably out in the woods! I grew up in the beautiful state of Alabama, where as a Girl Scout I loved going on camping trips and trying to identify every animal we saw. That curiosity and love of wildlife continued throughout my life, and I found myself driven to pursue a career in the natural resources. I started my career at Auburn University, and I am now at Oklahoma State University to continue my education. I look forward to continuing to explore and learn about the outdoor environment around me and how we can best protect it.

Education
My natural resources career started at Auburn University, where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Management with a minor in Spanish. Currently, I am a graduate research assistant pursuing my master's of science in Natural Resource Ecology and Management with the Chitwood Lab at Oklahoma State University. My master's research is studying ungulate interactions and their response to human recreation in southwest Montana.
Career Goals
For my future career goals, I want to pursue natural resource ecology positions that blend my love of research with my passion for effective science communication, such as a private-lands biologist or an extension and outreach specialist. Additionally, I would enjoy other roles available in science communication and natural resource policy. Communication is the key to effective natural resource conservation and management, and I want to be the person to communicate those important objectives to the public, stakeholders, landowners, and anyone else interested in how we should protect our natural resources.
