Exploring women's perceptions, motivations, and barriers in hunting
In collaboration with the Department of Agricultural Education, Communications, and Leadership at Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, I was afforded the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary research exploring the perceptions, motivations, and barriers affecting female hunter participation in Oklahoma. As a graduate research assistant (GRA) with this work, I analyzed focus group transcript data and lead-authored a manuscript describing our research findings. I presented our hunter focus group research at the National Agricultural Communications Symposium as well as at The Annual Conference of the Oklahoma Chapter of The Wildlife Society.
